So many ways to get involved
Believe it or not you are automatically a member of the PTA by virtue of being a parent or carer of a child at the school. You can help by joining the committee, organising an event or simply supporting from the wings.

Organise a fun afternoon with friends, popcorn and a movie - what more could you ask for?
A short and sweet social event one morning before school. This is usually co-ordinated with the sponsored walk/run but it needn't be, Simply choose a date and put the kettle on.
The sponsored walk is an event all the children enjoy! It is done during school time and the route will need to be decided by school. In recent years the children ran as many times are they could around the recreation ground. The children ask for sponsorship from families and friends.
The summer fete is run in June every year with a raffle being drawn on the day. This is the most popular event with the children and is also the biggest fundraiser. in previous years. KS2 do a performance on the day (normally dancing) on the playground. The event goes ahead no matter what the weather does on the day!
Christmas Craft Fair
Are you a good networker? This is really fabulous event that is a great earner for the PTA. A wealth of information and cheat sheets have been built up over the years making this easy to organise. The key to success is finding interesting craft stalls and getting plenty of advertising.
The Christmas party is held in the last few days before Christmas. The children go to the village hall ready to sit down for their party lunch, the teachers are also treated to a Christmas lunch. A special visitor (Father Christmas or Elf) arrive with a bag full of presents! This is not a fundraiser but instead a fun day for all the children and staff!
