The Halloween trail was a great success!
Born out of a want to do something for the children and village as a new PTA group. The event was organised in just 2 weeks. Parents and PTA carved pumpkins and created other hand made decorations to create a wonderfully season trail in the heart of the village.
We could not have done it without all of the support of the villagers, especially those on Watery Lane. The trail ran along the allotments from the village hall lit up with lights and pumpkins and then down Watery Lane and back to the start.
Special mentions must go to residents of Jamaica Cottage who put on the most amazing display of pumpkins, cob webs and spooky light show. As well as Willows who frightened everyone (in the best possible way) who came across their haunted van complete with Skeleton and sound effects.
We had many warm comments:
"Best Halloween ever!!!"
"That was super! Thanks to all!
"Grace absolutely LOVED her walk even making us go round several times! Thank you all."
"Very good - well done to the pumpkin carvers!"
A really great thank you from the PTA for all who got involved either to organise, provide or just to take part or put up with.
Keep an eye on what we might get up to next year!
